Since first meeting Mr Jowett, my experience has been an entirely positive one. He laid out the options and risks for an ankle operation, obviously informed by recent research from both here and abroad. All my questions were answered clearly and with kindness. The ankle fusion procedure has been such a success that I can walk again with ease, and, remarkably, have had no real pain. After taking the statutory Paracetamol for the three days, no other pain killer has been necessary! Good advice about devices to hire or buy to assist daily living in the first three months, proved invaluable.

Mr Jowett showed an enormous amount of empathy and expertise from my first consultation through to 'being signed off'. I was given a number of options to consider, with Mr Jowett clearly explaining both the advantages and disadvantages for each procedure. The time frames for the operation and recovery were both realistic and clearly explained from the beginning, and throughout the process. He is a practitioner with an extremely high level of skill enabling me to make a full recovery; resulting in an improved level of activity and fitness. I thank him for all of his professional care and, if deemed necessary, would have no hesitation in consulting with him in the future.

Mr Jowett quickly appreciated my problems after taking a detailed history going back to the 70s and followed by a thorough physical examination. His recommendations were very reassuring, in terms of the surgical procedure to be followed, as a day case. An early date for the procedure was arranged, also a pre-op assessment. On the day the op went very well, and two days later the original heavy bandaging was changed by nurses as directed by Mr Jowett. Since then Mr Jowett has seen me twice to check on my recovery, which is going well. Very much appreciated.
